Sam has spent the last three and a half years battling and beating cancer twice! He was diagnosed in 2015 at age 8 with Burkitts Lymphoma. Unfortunately relapsing in August 2018, but this time the Lymphoma returned in his blood, Burkitt Luekemia. After months of intense chemotherapy to get Sam in remission, the next course of treatment was a bone marrow transplant. His sister Abby was a complete match to Sam so the transplant took place 10/24/18. The recovery of Sams body was over a 7 month process and his restrictions were just lifted. Although his transplant was a great success, his journey as a transplant recipient & cancer survivor is only beginning. Sams mom has been on a leave from work, to be able to care for Sam. With this missing income, the family has struggled. Sams mom will be returning to work as soon as Sam is cleared to return to school full time. After all he has been through these past years, we would like to help the family make Sam’s dream of going to the San Diego Zoo. We greatly appreciate any donation to help ease this family’s financial strain.
