A kind idea from 5th Grader at Hammond Elementary to hold a lemonade stand to raise funds for a classmate’s brother in need of a heart transplant inspired the community into action! The lemonade stand for Jack raised over $2,000 and led to “Be Kind for Jack Week” and Family Fun Night at their school. Members of the community from all walks of life joined forces to support Jack and eventually raised the $75,000 required for his heart transplant. From this incredible display of kindness, Keys to Kindness was born!
