Sharri Cagle is a wife, mother, and Founder & President of Keys to Kindness. Sharri has a heart for helping others, building an encouraging environment, and wanting to give others a hands-on opportunity to be a part of the Keys to Kindness mission. She believes it is important to teach children that they have the power to make a difference through intentional acts of kindness; that children and adults together can make a difference! Through opportunities from working with students and staff at the YMCA as a Site Director, and an Administrative Assistant at Anza Trail School; Sharri learned how important it is to connect with others. Since her children started school she has served on the PTA at her children’s schools and continues to do so. She was Committee Chair and Den Leader for Cub Scouts and served in Girl Scouts. Sharri is also involved with the youth group at her church. Sharri’s husband and three children are her heart and right by her side kindly serving and giving back to the community they live in through Keys to Kindness.

In September 2019, our worst nightmare came true. We were involved in a horrific car crash with our 5-month-old daughter, Clara Jeanette, who passed. With this absolute shock of heartbreak going on, we were also ourselves in hospitals for 2 weeks. Even when released, I (Kayla) was handicapped to a wheelchair/walker for 2 months. In all of this, we have experienced so much selfless kindness from family, friends, acquaintances, and strangers. The community has shown us a countless outpouring of love. So many people going out of their way to help us, some we have never met before, but in meeting them we have felt so much genuine care. While being in hospitals for those weeks, not only all the countless people that came to spend their entire days with us, but also hearing about all the work outside people were doing for us. We could not believe it, we were in shock from everything. Everyone was 10 steps ahead in looking after us. Now that we are physically healed, we knew when we got out of the hospitals that we wanted to start giving back. We feel honored to be a part of this Kindness family!
